Therefore, the Polynesian people, throughout hundreds of years, sailed from southeast Asia all the way to Alaska. Some Polynesians decided to settle in the Archipelago known as Hawaii. The Hawaiian people lived under the Kapu system. The Kapu system laid out the laws of the land to ensure that the people lived in harmony with each other and their surroundings.
